Centuries of Quality - Facits of spirit alcohol

The Wheat Chambers at Rosche´s Mill - More tourists

The wheat grain distillery Rosche in Haselünne was founded in 1792. They have not only concentrated on the manufacture and production of their high percentage alcohol products, but also on their interest in luring more and more tourists with commercial attractions into the ancient `wheat und trading town´ of Haselünne

One thing is certain, and that is that Henrik Tobias „Reusch“ (1714-1786) whose name was changed according to the Church Registry Books to Henrik Tobias „Rosche“, never have dreamt that 300 years later, the Brand name „Rosche“ would have spread throughtout the whole of Germany.
Their motto „What´s on the label, must also be in the bottle!“ has never before hit the nail on the head as it has done today. It is their high percentage alcohol products which are delightfully drunk `To your health´, that have roused tremendous interest among people keen on learning more about the manufacturing processes.

Ever since the 200th. Centenary celebrations in 1992, Susanne Rosche and Josef Rosche have, once again, dug deep into their pockets for new investments. The complete wheat granary was removed to the outskirts of the town. The business has taken on the cooperation of three agricutural industries as a team concentration on the various fields that sustain a kind of nutrient cycle. Where Rosche otherwise grow their wheat, one partner plants starch-potatoes while another silo-maize as fodder for their milking cows alternatively.

The complete distillery, including the decantering facilities which are in the centre of the `wheat and trading town´ of Haselünne, have been almost completely restorated and expanded. The retail trade section has been converted into the area where bottles and crates are recycled. The tenth year anniversary of these changes was recently celebrated, whereby strong emphasis was laid on the friendly environmental initiatives taken by Rosche. The Minister of Environment send personally his congratulations.

Ever since the opening of the „Ancient Haselünne Corn/Wheat-Academy“ in 1996, over 30.000 visitors has come to discover what exactly it is that makes Rosche´s alcoholic `refreshments´ so fasinating.
